Care for your feet!

Standing, walking, running or squeezing our feet into the cutest shoes ever (that just happen to be the most uncomfortable shoes ever),are just a few examples of what everyday life is like for our feet. We demand a lot from our feet! It only seems fair and smart to take care of them.

It's easy to forget about your feet, I mean they are way down at the floor. However, if you don't give your feet the attention they need, down the road you could experience chronic problems.  According to the American Podiatric Medical Association, the human foot contains 26 bones (the two feet contain a quarter of all the bones in the body), 33 joints, 107 ligaments, and a network of more than 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments to allow for movement and agility. And since the average pair of feet take 10,000 steps a day, it's no wonder that they evidence the strain with calluses, swelling, dryness, and even infections, such as athlete's foot.

Just remember, healthy feet contribute a healthy body! If you do not give your feet enough attention the rest of your body will suffer.    Knee, hip, and low back problems can all be attributed to unhealthy feet. Not to mention sore aching feet can make a person miserable and affect their whole day.

Moral of the story, Give your feet some love!
