How can going to the spa be good for your health?

 Reduce stress! Your phone rings, the kids are crying and you have all the ingredients for tonight's' dinner...minus the cheese you thought you bought at the store yesterday. So now you have to load the kids up, go to the store and eat dinner thirty minutes late. No I haven't been a fly on your wall but I do have the same everyday stress, so I can relate. Most people say, " I don't feel stressed". The truth is you don't realize you are stressed but the minute you experience relief from your crazy schedule and demands; you will feel just how stressed you really were.
Stress makes us crabby, it makes us tired but it can also cause more chronic health problems if it goes unattended.
  • depression
  • diabetes
  • hair loss
  • heart disease
  • hyperthyroidism
  • obesity
  • obsessive-compulsive or anxiety disorder
  • sexual dysfunction
  • tooth and gum disease
  • ulcers 
When you go to the spa and receive a massage , facial or even a pedicure you get the much needed relief from your demands. For me it seems pretty easy, do I want to suffer from stress and potentially bring on more physical ailments due to stress? Or would I prefer to be invigorated and feel amazing... while taking care of myself and reducing stress at the same time? Which also lessens my likely hood of the above listed health problems? See what I mean? It's a easy answer!
